Positive Parenting Tools
Using reward systems can be an effective way to support your child’s behaviour. Reward systems focus on the behaviour we want to see by rewarding children/young people when they display those target behaviours.

Tea and Talk
Come and join us for Tea and Talk Time! Are you parenting a challenging child? Are you tearing your hair out?!!
Once a term we invite parents and carers for Tea and Talk Time. It’s a chance to meet other parents, enjoy a cuppa and support each other. We have a 10-minute presentation to share tips and ideas that may support you. Topics so far have ranged from ‘Dealing with Big Behaviours’ to ‘Transitions and School Holidays’.
We welcome suggestions from our parents and carers! Talk to your child’s teacher, email the school office or email rebecca.briggs@northstar-academy.co.uk
For those unable to attend, we upload the presentations so that you can have a look in your own time.
